Woodward Steering Column Dash Bar Brackets

Woodward Steering Column Dash Bar Brackets Pair 40 mm Bar, 6½ in (165 mm) Centres are designed to securely mount Woodward safety steering columns to a dash bar while allowing precise driver positioning. Built from lightweight yet rigid aluminium, these brackets provide a strong and adjustable mounting solution for high-performance race cars.

Compatible with both the Woodward SCA700 and SCA827 safety steering columns, these dash bar brackets play an important role in maintaining driver safety. Woodward safety columns feature telescoping construction that allows the column to collapse in a crash when the front end of the vehicle is pushed rearward. In modern race cars with engineered crumple zones, this collapsing design helps prevent the steering wheel from being forced toward the driver, allowing up to 9 inches (228.6 mm) of rearward movement before the wheel begins moving toward the driver.
