ARAI SKV-R KARTING HELMET – FIA 8878-2024

When you're strapped into a kart at race pace, there's no room for a helmet doing half its job. The Arai SKV-R is a purpose-built karting helmet — not a car or bike lid adapted for the kart seat — engineered with the same philosophy and glancing-off performance as Arai's flagship GPV-R. It replaces the long-serving SK-6 with a fully updated shell, shield system, and fit designed around one thing: karting.

BUILT FOR KARTING, NOT ADAPTED FOR IT

A lower visor pivot point gives the SKV-R a smoother, rounder shell profile while adding approximately 8mm of extra view at the bottom of the eye port — more track awareness without compromising protection. The new centre visor lock carries over from the GPV-R, giving drivers and trackside crew effortless, reliable shield closure exactly when it matters.

DIALLED-IN COMFORT, SESSION AFTER SESSION

Inside, an odour-resistant system liner with adjustable foam pads on either side lets you fine-tune the fit rather than settling for it. Microphone-ready cheek pads keep you wired in for radio comms, and a removable centre pad accommodates hydration systems for longer stints in the heat of competition.

RACE-READY OUT OF THE BOX

The SKV-R does not feature FHR (frontal head restraint) compatibility — because karting doesn't require it. That means no extra fitment, no extra parts, no waiting: this helmet is ready for grid position the moment it's out of the box.
