MPI's D model is a dirt steering wheel that was developed in collaboration with Donny Schatz, the most successful dirt racer in history. The D3 represents the pinnacle of the MPI dirt line of wheels, incorporating all of the technology developed for stock car models to create the most advanced, safest, and ergonomic dirt steering wheel on the market.

The D3 shares MPI Safety™ structure and all the innovative properties that made the D2 the most popular dirt steering wheel in the market with some added features born from the feedback of several dirt racers around the globe. The inner structure is designed to deform under elevated impacts, absorbing the load and reducing the effect on the driver's upper body, offering an engineered safety advantage. The inner foam injection has been developed to have the highest vibration absorption rate in the industry. The extreme oval-shaped grip has been tweaked to make holding the wheel an even more natural feel for the driver.

What makes the D3 different from the D2 is the new outer grip, which is created with a textured polyurethane injected foam partially covered with extreme grip RG material finished with a sporty and durable MPI Orange™ crossed stitched technique. This gives the driver a firm grip that prevents fatigue and facilitates holding the wheel even with one-handed usage. The spoke structure features a rounded edge for increased safety CNC machined after anodization creating a black silver contrast finish.

Each wheel is individually serial numbered for traceability and comes complete with the MPI love, attention to detail, and a super light center pad for added driver protection.
