JOES adjustable tip probe can be set for your rubber thickness, ensuring you measure temperature down to the cord where the real action is stored. 

Tyre rubber will be a different temperature based on how deep you insert the probe. 

For accuracy you need to move quickly and insert probes at a consistent depth at every location.
