The result of over four decades of Sparco R&D and wind tunnel testing, the Air Pro 1977 was engineered to meet the demanding new Snell SA2020 and FIA 8859-2015 ratings. These updated standards call for helmets that dissipate impact energy across multiple load paths — so every shell now carries reinforced carbon-Kevlar layers for greater strength without added bulk.

RETRO STYLE, RACE-READY SUBSTANCE

The Air Pro 1977 takes the proven Air Pro RF-5W and adds a painted retro finish — a white base with blue or red stripes, finished under a clear coat for a timeless look on track or at a show-and-shine. Underneath, it's the same carbon-Kevlar/fibreglass construction, with a wide eye opening suited to both open-wheel and closed-cockpit driving.

The Air Pro 1977 comes with HANS clips pre-installed and is pre-moulded to accommodate a drink tube and intercom system, so you're not left retrofitting on race morning. Anodized aluminium chin strap hardware rounds out a helmet built for serious use.
