How It Works:
In accordance with FIA motorsport safety regulations, the X-Club performs two critical functions:
- Engine Stop (Kill): Cuts power to the ignition or ECU circuit, stopping the engine and halting alternator power generation.
- Battery Isolation: Disconnects the vehicle's battery negative from chassis ground, isolating every electrical system in the car.
Both functions activate sequentially, with the Engine Stop occurring milliseconds before full isolation. Alternator load-dump protection is built in—no extra modules required.
User Operation:
The system is controlled via two switches:
- Internal Switch: Driver-operated ON/OFF control.
- External Switch: Marshals/safety crews can OFF the system instantly in an emergency.
The External Switch can only shut the system OFF, per Motorsport UK safety regulations.
The isolator will automatically shut down if it detects short-circuit, over-current, over-temperature, or wiring failure. Both the unit and internal switch will display LED fault patterns for diagnostics (see user manual).
