Sparco Dakar alloy wheel

SPARCO DAKAR ALLOY WHEEL

The Sparco Dakar is available in 16–18" sizes across 3 finishes. Select your size, offset, PCD and finish above to find the exact fitment for your build.

THE FIRST SPARCO OFF-ROAD WHEEL

The Sparco Dakar is the first Sparco off-road wheel. Its look comes from the overseas 4x4 and pickup scene, but its engineering comes from OZ's years of competing in rally raids around the world. It's strong yet light, and decorative rivets give 4x4s and utes a more aggressive look. The Sparco All-Terrain collection is built for drivers who love the freedom of on- and off-road travel and want an edgier look. Every wheel in it rests on three things: cutting-edge technology, category-specific design and certified OZ quality.

BUILT FOR 4X4s, UTES AND THE SUZUKI JIMNY

Dakar is a heat-treated monoblock with a 10-spoke off-road design, offered in Matt Black Lip Polished and Matt Black Lip Polished + Rivets, with 5- and 6-stud fitments up to 6x139.7. All versions come with the large Sparco off-road centre cap, except the 7.5x17 (5x100, 5x110, 5x112 and 5x114.3), which takes the small Sparco cap. The Dakar Jimny Special Edition (16x5.5, 5x139.7) was developed by OZ for the latest Suzuki Jimny, in Matt Black or Matt Dark Grey Lip Polished. It's OE-cap ready, and no centre cap is included.

Please note: Some Dakar applications are approved for off-road use only. Contact the Racer Industries team to confirm road legality for your vehicle before ordering.

Disclaimer:

*Wheels sold by Racer Industries are designed for offroad/motorsport use, however they may be used on a road car in Australia, provided the vehicle owner has checked that they meet the rules and regulations in their particular state/territory. It is recommended that the National Code of Practice for Light Vehicle Construction and Modification (VSB14) and local transport authority guidelines are considered. A brief summary of VSB14 is below –

  • The track width cannot increase by more than 25mm for passenger cars.
  • Wheel width must not exceed original manufacturer specifications by more than 30% for passenger cars.
  • Wheels and tyres must fit completely inside the bodywork or mudguards/flares when pointed straight ahead, without rubbing against the suspension, brakes or chassis at any steering angle.
  • Using wheel spacers or adapters between the wheel hub and rim is illegal unless fitted directly by the original manufacturer. Wheels must have the identical stud/bolt pattern, and be located by the same diameter centre spigot, using suitable adaptor rings where necessary.
  • The wheel nuts or bolts must have a thread engagement length that is at least equal to the thread diameter.
  • Steering or suspension stops must not be modified to create wheel clearance.
  • Wheels must comply with Australian Design Rule standards for road use and not feature a full circumferential weld other than one that attaches the wheel centre to the rim itself.
  • The wheels will be deemed illegal without a separate engineering certificate if the brake calipers, hubs, suspension and steering components need to be modified in any way.

If the wheel upgrade exceeds these standard thresholds, you will need an assessment by an authorised automotive engineer to obtain an engineering certificate. Further to the above, it’s recommended you check the below documents for your particular state/territory –

  • South Australia – SA Vehicle standards and modification requirements, plus VSB 14 where applicable.
  • Queensland – Queensland Transport and Main Roads light vehicle modification rules and certification codes.
  • New South Wales – Transport for NSW vehicle standards and VSCCS certification pathway.
  • Victoria – VicRoads vehicle standards information and VASS approval pathway.
  • Western Australia – Department of Transport WA minor, simple and complex light vehicle modification categories.
  • Tasmania – Transport Tasmania vehicle modification approval process.
  • Northern Territory – NT vehicle modification and inspection requirements.
  • Australian Capital Territory – Access Canberra modified vehicle requirements.
